Our Under the Sea Journey of Exploration ended in a wonderful Journey share with Woodland families and community members. Students branched out in a variety of ways with their projects including paint, 3D artwork, timelines and movies. Topics studied included pollution, animals such as the seahorse and the octopus, the various ocean zones, coral reefs, sharks, and more.
This week we also saw students build their own planter box in which they intend to grow “a salad” to share with their friends. They collected boards and built their box and then began filling it with farm compost. Our week concluded with a trip to the Squam Lakes Science Center where students learned about habitats of the barred owl, the groundhog, and the mink among others.
