In the Fields

Giving back to our farming community is one of the tenets of our Farm to Table program at Woodland! This week, students pulled weeds in the beet field and delivered the weeds to the pigs for an afternoon snack. Farmer Mikaela taught students about why we spend time weeding instead of applying chemical weed killer on the crops. Everyone pitched in to harvest baby carrots and stalks of brussels sprouts - which were taller than some of the students!
