Welcome back Woodland students and families! Our Woodland community returned to school with energy and excitement for all that lies ahead in the 2019-2020 school year. As we opened the doors for the new year, we welcome 12 returning students along with 6 new students and a new teacher.

Our Choice time was filled with innovative ideas as our students sewed stuffed animals, built survivalist forts from knotweed, engineered ziplines, drew up detailed fort blueprints, solved puzzles and so much more! We certainly have a motivated group of creators this year, often spending afternoons brainstorming their Choice projects for the following day.

This week’s Journey time was spent cultivating community through group and individual work. We got to know one another through a variety of group games, teamwork initiatives and community art projects. Through our work we learned more about one another and how to work together as a school community.
