How can I volunteer?

Let us know your skills and areas of expertise!  We are always looking for folks from the wider community to enhance our Journeys of Discovery or to work with students on a particular interest.  We will keep your contact information available for a time when your skill or expertise is needed.

Our Board of Directors consists of staff and volunteers: parents and community members.  Board members must understand and believe in the mission of the school.  If you are curious about our board, please call to set up a time to visit Woodland while school is in session.  Thank you for your interest in our school!

Who makes up the Woodand Community?

The Woodland community includes students and their families, teachers, board members, and people from the wider community.  Students and teachers meet weekdays from late August through mid-June and carry out their program together. Board members meet at least once a month year round to manage the operations, staffing, finances, and development. Wider community members include people who have joined the students and teachers to share their expertise, people who have supported the school in some way, and people who embrace the wonder of children and their natural ability to gain the skills and knowledge they need to be happy, successful people.
