Welcome!

Admissions Process

Thank you for your interest in Woodland Community School!  We are excited that you are considering progressive education in the North Country. Acceptance to Woodland is determined by a number of factors: the family's fit with the educational philosophy, the student’s capacity for self-direction, and openings in that particular age group.  Because a family’s deeply rooted belief in the philosophy of the school is essential to a child’s success at Woodland, we require parents and students to visit Woodland while the school is in session as a first step in the application process. For more information regarding our application process and to set up a time to visit our progressive school, please call us at (603) 444-1221.

Application deadlines for 2018-19 applications:
First round:  Friday, April 6
Second round:   Tuesday, May 15

Woodland Community School offers equal opportunities to students without regard to their race, religion, color, sex or national origin.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition for 2017-18 is $9,250 per student.  Rates for 2018-2019 will be available shortly. If this figure is prohibitive for your family, we encourage you to consider our Tuition Assistance Policy.  Families requesting tuition assistance are encouraged to apply annually.  Through our Financial Aid Fund, Woodland covers up to $5750 of tuition per student depending on a family's need.  Need is determined when parents submit the Parent Financial Statement through School and Student Services for Financial Aid. Please contact the school for more information regarding our admissions process and our Tuition Assistance Policy.
